Beekeeping South Africa

A great environment to learn, discover, share and network.

How it works

We are a mix of academics, hobbyist, entrepreneurs and those who hardly goes a day without getting stung – for whom sweat and smoke is a permanent cologne.

Share your beekeeping journey and only respond to a question if you can help.

Why it was started?

The Beekeeping South Africa Support Group was established in 2016 as a means of creating an enabling environment meant to nurture emerging beekeepers and to guide those with burning questions and issues hindering them from growing their beekeeping operations into sustainable apiaries.

It’s also a place where academics engage in research projects and where agricultural entreprenuers at various levels of the supply chain can network and develop business opportunities.

We value the participation and support of our experienced and commercial beekeepers without whom this group would not bee possible.

How can you join?
