1) I am new to beekeeping – can you supply me with bees, a hive and tools? Unfortunately not. We do not buy/sell any items. Do join our beekeeping support group and network amogst the members once there – someone is bound to help you with bees and a place closest to you where you can buy equipment. When you subscribe to our newsletter – the Telegram link will be sent to you.

2) Can you offer me training or consultation? We do not offer any training. Best is to network in the beekeeping support group – ask around for training opportunities near you.

3) Can I advertise on your site? Ads displayed on the site are automated by google adsense – and generally they are based on your own unique profile as a user. So we don’t do advertising at the moment. However – if you are offering a locally produced innovative product / service for beekeepers – we can feature you in our Sustainable Beekeeping Newsletter – free!

4) Can I advertise on the Bee Forage Calendar? Yes you can. We have one slot for advertising. Do email info@beekeeper.co.za to confirm availability.

5) Do you accept donations?

No. We don’t.

6) What exactly do you guys do? We are a voluntary social support network interested in advancing both the profitability and sustainability of running a beekeeping Business in South Africa.

Currently we have more than 1600 email subscribers and our facebook group has 3900 followers. We also operate a Telegram group of over 200 people where beekeepers voluntarily avail themselves to attend to any beekeeping question.

7) History of beekeeper.co.za. The project was founded by Riaan Hendricks in 2017. He also developed the Annual S.A Bee Forage Calendars. The project is currently administered by James Irwing (info@beekeeper.co.za)
